Smoothies & Ice Storms

Sunday awoke to ice and a quiet morning, I took some pictures outside of the frost but hurried back in before my hands froze. Last night I ended up thawing out on the couch-I didnt want to have to drive in this (plus my car was still iced in at the school).

Breakfast 930: Today was 2 pieces of healthful toast topped off with some greek yogurt & natural jam & sprinkled cinnamin all over em'. The usual apple, CIB with 2 cups of soymilk and some watered down juice. And my yummy Fair Trade coffee my cousin sent as an Xmas gift!

The fam and I headed out to Lifetime and I walked a mile on the treadmill before heading into a STRIKE class. (pictured below). I love getting into the groove and music, at first I'm constantly checking the clock-what!? its only been 15 minutes?-but once I get into the mindset and start feeling the music there's no stopping me! We punched and jumped and did some bars-it was a good butt kicking class!

after I grabbed a very berry smoothie to re-fuel..even though its icy out it tasted good and I felt like I was in the tropics.

Finally I got my car out! This was day 2 of it being left out-after working on it for 30 minutes or so last night this is what remained of the ice and snow today. Luckily the warmer temps made it a lot easier to free it out. Oh how ive missed my ghetto volvo ;)

Lunch time (130):

-2 pieces of healthful whole wheat bread (I like this bread alot-it's light feeling but full of nutrient and healthy nuts).
-1/2 can of drained tuna
-instead of using mayo, I mix in some natural balsamic dressing with honey mustard. I top it off with some mango salsa (my favorite from Costco) and cole slaw..and viola! a much healthier option for the classic tuna sandwich!
-an apple on the side
-a large cup of watered down cranberry juice

The rest of the day is going to be spent researching for my next broadcasting project and filming some of my standups out side (eek, better bundle up!) We are going to bake some oatmeal cookies if we have time, finish up our mosaic project in the basement and I'm cooking dinner tonight! A curried noddles with tofu and for the boys some chicken! I'm so excited, I will post later about it all. Hope everyones Sunday is peaceful and fun!
